Just like we’ve been “decking out” the store (see what I did there?) with our new porch and “beverage credenza,” we’re spiffing up the sales floor with some new New Moon merchandise! You’ll find items you’ll love. And if you’re on vacay without your kids or significant other, a fun tee or tote can often be a much better gift than a pair of bike shorts or some gu packets!

It’s officially summer mountain biking season here in the Northwoods. Last weekend the Borah Epic sent more than 700 riders zipping through the CAMBA singletrack network. Behind the scenes, preparing the trail for one of the biggest singletrack races in the country, were hundreds of hours of both paid and volunteer trail work. The CAMBA trail network (which now spans more than 120 miles of purpose built singletrack) has become a mountain bike destination because of the hard work, sweat, and vision of hundreds of people over the past 25 years.
As you’ve heard or read by now, the Birkie is building a Family Outdoor Center to serve as the new trailhead at the Hwy. OO crossing. New Moon is honored to be able to contribute to the center in our own way with the New Moon Ski & Bike Wax & Repair Room, where skiers and bikers can get their gear in perfect condition before or after they head out on the trails.
Hayward, WI (May 25, 2018) — The American Birkebeiner Ski Foundation (ABSF) has been enhancing the quality of lives for nearly half a century. For generations, ABSF events and the award-winning Birkie Trail system have been motivating adventurous spirits to embrace an active, outdoor lifestyle. In support of providing the infrastructure, spaces, and places to keep that spirit alive, the ABSF is pleased to announce completion of the second and final phase of their Honoring the Legacy – Ensuring the Futurecapital campaign. The resulting initiatives will change the face of the Birkie Trail for participants, volunteers, visitors, and surrounding communities for years to come.
