Each New Moon is handmade and begins its journey as a lump of freshly mixed pottery clay. The clay is formed and shaped on the potter's wheel. While still wet, a handle is attached and the mug is adorned with a customized engraved clay New Moon medallion Then the stoneware mug is off to the glazing process using hand-mixed glazes. It is gas-fired to over 2000 degrees yielding a custom handmade mug that is unique, durable, and dishwasher- and microwave-safe.
