Waxes specially created for the World Cup a few years ago at the request of national teams. Recently they have been gaining great popularity among cross-country skiers thanks to their quality and results. As if the already high level of the classic Rode waxes STICK and KLISTER wasn’t enough, these variants are their evolution, ensuring the same grip, but even more sliding. For 2020, directly from the cases of the Ski Wax Test of the World Cup, to expand the range of high performance products in the catalog for all fans we have four new entries: B15, B17, B310 into Stick Top Line KRS3 into Klister top Line

The Racing eXtra Liquid (RXL) glider line is the evolution of the Racing Liquid line (RL), which had huge success when introduced in 2020. Thanks to the use of special fluor-free additives, the RXL line takes performance to a new level with increased speed and durability. The RXL line gives extra acceleration, extra water- and dirt-repellence, as well as extra abrasion resistance. It has a very wide range of use as it is suitable for all types of snow: natural or artificial, new or old. These waxes are durable and fast out of the gate. Simple to use and a sponge applicator is included for easily spreading the product. This sponge also stays saturated maximizing the use of the bottle. Non aerosol. Rode is one of the very few companies using an aluminum bottle for decreased plastic waste. For increased speed and durability use the Rode Wool Roto. 80ml bottles will do between 20-35 pairs of skis. All temperatures listed are snow temperatures. ****Tech Tip- Put on the night before skiing and buff with Rode Wool Roto Buffer and then brush out with nylon or horsehair aggressively the next day for increased initial speed and durability.**** Racing eXtra Liquid Cold -5C to -15C (5F to 23F). Really good in newer cold snow and at lower humidity. This wax can really fly in the right conditions. Racing eXtra Liquid Med -2C to -7C (19F to 28F). This one is a monster. If we were to recommend one liquid wax to have it would be RLM. Good in a variety of snow types and in the key temp range of the 20s This won about 70% of our fluoro free wax tests last year. We simply cannot say enough about this wax. Racing eXtra Liquid Warm -3C to 0C (26F to 32F) RLW is a versatile warm solution especially when the humidity remains below 50%.

RCR50 Is a klister every racer should have in their box. It is a modified version of our Universal wide intended for high humidity, glazing tracks and artificial snow from 20F up to 38F. This wax is used consistently by several World Cup teams as well as the Start Finland domestic racing service.
$20.00
One of the few truly universal waxes available. It is able to glide in cold temperatures and kick when the snow warms up. This wax outperforms other klisters in fresh snow conditions while simultaneously is able to kick in transformed ice crystals. In racing, this wax can be used as a mix with another klister, or under a cover wax. The versatility of this mix is in part due to its composition of klister raw materials, terva(tar), and aluminum. The aluminum additive prevents the formation of ice around freezing, when snow is in transition between solid and liquid state. The special ingredient is the terva which enables the wax to kick in warm conditions and remain fast on cold snow. The tar that is used in Uni Wide is created through the dry distillation of Finnish pine trees. What remains is a unqiue thermoplastic that transforms with changes in temperature. In a thin application, the tar hardens and creates a shell to protect from fresh ice crystals. In a thick application, the tar acts as a cusion layer to provide kick on rounded and transformed ice crystals. Application: Begin with a thin application of base klister or base klister spray. Then apply Universal Klister in a chevron pattern along the kick zone of your ski. Tech tip: apply a thin layer for fresh snow conditions, and a thicker layer for transformed snow conditions. Rub in an even layer with your thumb or synthetic cork. When racing, allow the skis to sit base down on the snow for a brief period of time to allow the hard shell to form, remove any excess snow sticking to the base and go ski.

Keep your skins skis from grinding to a halt when wet snow, around freezing, can cause the skis to ice up so that Skin skis can be problematic in wet or dirty snow as the snow can stick to the skin and cause that nasty situation of a ski that doesn't grip but also doesn't glide. Skin inserts need occasional treatment to resist this situation and of course Swix has come up with a solution that is easy to use and performs admirably. Application: Rub on to the skin using a back and forth motion to coat the hairs of the skin. Dry for 30 min. before skiing or applying Swix Skin Boost.

Apply each layer thin – then smooth the surface with a synthetic cork (T12). VP45 PRO BLUE/VIOLET For new and new fallen fine-grained snow from -1°C to -5°C (30°F to 23°F). Old/partly transformed snow from -3°C to -8°C (27°F to 18°F). Purple-blue kick wax designed for normal winter conditions well below the freezing point. An obvious “next step” if VP40 does not provide a safe kick. VP50 PRO LIGHT VIOLET For new and new fallen fine-grained snow from 0°C to -3°C (32°F to 27°F). Old/partly transformed snow from -1°C to -6°C (30°F to 21°F). Purple kick wax designed for conditions a few degrees below the freezing point. Provides perfect kick until you experience moderate shiny tracks. The wax contains a new additive designed to impart maximum lubricity. This improves the stick-slip properties of the wax and gives an excellent feeling. V55 PRO VIOLET For new and new fallen fine-grained snow from 1°C to -2°C (34°F to 28°F). Old/partly transformed snow from 0°C to -5°C (32°F to 23°F). Dark purple kick wax designed for moist, and new or new fallen snow around zero. Can also be used on older snow just below the freezing point without sacrificing glide. The wax contains a new additive designed to impart maximum lubricity. This improves the stick-slip properties of the wax and gives an excellent feeling. VP60 PRO VIOLET/RED For new and new fallen fine-grained snow from 2°C to -1°C (36°F to 30°F). Old/partly transformed snow from -1°C to -4°C (34°F to 25°F). Purple-red kick wax works very well in moist new snow and shiny tracks. Will also work on older, slightly transformed snow some degrees below the freezing point. If tricky conditions around zero VP65 is recommended. The wax contains a new additive designed to impart maximum lubricity. This improves the stick-slip properties of the wax and gives an excellent feeling. VP65 PRO BLACK/RED For new and new fallen fine-grained snow from 0°C to 2°C (32°F to 36°F). Old/partly transformed snow from 0°C to -4°C (32°F to 25°F). Red/black kick wax with extraordinary properties when tricky conditions around the freezing point. Also brilliant on the cold side when high humidity and older/transformed snow. The black additive speaks for versatility and great anti-icing properties. VP65 works best on top of a couple of layers of a slightly harder wax. It also works great as a cover on top of klisters. **Apply each layer thin – then smoothen the surface with a synthetic cork (T12). The VP-line is primarily designed for racers and ambitious non-racing individuals but can also be used by recreational skiers who want the optimum skiing experience.

Extreme durability! A great powder for extra cold conditions, that has high durability on aggressive snow and excellent dry friction properties. - Perfect on cold man-made snow - Easier to apply than corresponding cold waxes PSP is a special powder wax to add to other waxes to increase their durability, and to protect the base from ice abrasion. For especially abrasive snow, such as newly man-made snow, apply the wax of choice and then iron. While the wax is still in liquid form, or at least still warm, sprinkle the PSP powder over the wax. Even a generous amount will not affect glide. Then iron the powder into the wax layer. Allow cooling, then scrape and brush away the excess. Recommended iron temp: 150°C (302°F). Replaces the CH3X.
