There is nothing like perfect kick on your favorite pair of waxable classic skis. Simplicity is important for skiers learning to kick wax. This wax kit equips classic skiers with tried and true basics for a wide range of snow conditions. No unusual or mysterious waxes here! Apply several thin layers underfoot from your heel 12" to 18" forward of your toes. This area is called the 'kick zone'. Experiment; see what works for you! For cold conditions below 10 degrees F, Swix V20 Green gives reliable kick and makes a durable base for other kick waxes. Swix V40 Blue Extra is perhaps the most popular kick wax ever made, working well from 10 degrees F up to about 30 degrees F. Virtually all seasoned classic skiers use Blue Extra. A true classic! For the warmer days with moist snow, Swix V55 Special Red kicks when the Blue Extra gets too slippery. If V55 is too slippery on a given day, it's time for waxless skis or klister! To use these waxes, one needs a good cork. The Swix Synthetic Cork efficiently smooths each layer onto the kick zone. RG22 Blue -2…-8°C For all snow types. Developed for mild to medium frosts, the RG22 is our all time fastest fluor free wax! As a block it is hard, but still easy to melt. Developed especially as an underlayer for top coatings, but works extremely well also as a final layer. Scrape while still warm, let cool down and brush. Melting point: ~135°C RG32 Green -8…-20°C For all snow types. A hard and very durable glider for cold conditions. Due to its hardness it is very durable and abrasion resistant. A fluor-free version of HF31 block, that has been upgraded with N-Kinetic level 2 additives. Scrape when still warm, let cool down and brush. Melting point: ~140°C RG12 Yellow. +2…-2°C For all snow types. The softest wax on RG-series. Compared to traditional warm condition gliders the RG12 is relatively hard and not so oily wax. Melting point: ~130°C RG22 Graphite - New Snow Engineered especially for new snow and contains a precisely defined amount of graphite. Hardness is positioned between RG12 Yellow and RG22 Blue. Melting point: ~130°C.

A Liquid kick wax line from Start to help easily apply grip wax. Use the base wax for durability and then chose you wax of the day for kick. These liquids tend to have bomber kick so 2-3 layers of wax of the day would be enough. The TSB series are gliders for competition that work extremely well, and are highly durable, on dirty snow and in dry, high friction conditions. This is achieved thanks to the black solid lubricant additive that reduces friction and absorbs less dirt in contaminated snow. Its hardness makes it convenient to work and highly durable. TSB series can be used as a race wax alone or as a base for top coats. -TS5B - 0/14F is the hardest wax in the TSB line and is a great choice in cold conditions. Recommended iron temp.: 160°C (320°F) -TS6B - 10/21F is the second hardest wax in the TSB line and is a great choice in typical winter conditions. Recommended iron temp.: 155°C (311°F). -TS7B - 17/28F is a versatile wax suited for normal winter conditions below the freezing point. It has shown good properties on artificial snow in addition to natural, transformed older snow. Recommended iron temp: 150°C (302°F). -TS8B - 24/39F is made harder than the std TS8. Excellent results in artificial snow as well as natural transformed older snow, especially noticeable when used alone. Recommended iron temp: 150°C (302°F). -TS10B - 32/50F is made harder than the std. Excellent results in artificial snow as well as natural transformed older snow, especially noticeable when used alone. Recommended iron temp: 165°C (329°F). APPLICATION The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating ski. The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Scraping after approx. one minute. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax.

The GS wax series from Vauhti is a synthetic compound that is fluoro free. GS Green: Cold conditions make for the best classic skiing, and GS Green is the kick wax for the job when temps are down. Can also be used to cover our softer kick waxes for maximum grip. Temperature Range: 14/ -22 F (-10 / -30 C) GS Blue: An all-purpose grip wax for colder winter conditions. GS Blue is a great compliment to our GS Carrot. Temperature Range: 23/ 5 F (-5 / -15 C) GS Carrot: Has the ability to work in old and coarse snow over a large temperature range. The thermoplastic property of the wax means that the hardness of the wax varies by temperature. In colder temperatures, the wax hardens on the outside to form a hard cover to improve gliding performance while maintaining the cushion of the wax underneath. Start Terva can be used as a speed cover, or mix in racing. Application: Apply Start Terva in many thin layers. To apply, rub wax on the kick zone of the ski. Smooth with a synthetic cork. Apply more layers as necessary.

A newer and further developed fluor-free version of the popular 30G, with extra ingredients that improve its properties on new snow. Reduced risk of icing and improved glide properties. When its freezing, 30GB is used as the final layer on top of other kick waxes. Around zero degrees Celsius, 30GB works on top of base wax only, or mixed together with klister. Teal 500g HS-10 (-5F to 15F): 500g bulk bar is ideal for families, teams or skiers using large quantities of wax. "Mid-cold" teal is a reliable and economical training wax for abrasive snows in the teens and single digits. Great wax for economically and effectively hardening ski bases for cold weather, and applies easier than extreme white. Comparable to Swix CH5X. Blue 500g HS-20 (12F to 28F): Bulk bar for high-volume waxing; high school teams take note! Fast Wax Blue is one of our more popular choices as a "universal" glider for waxers looking for a simple set-up and for hardening bases as an underway for a harder HF. Comparable to Swix CH6X. Red 500g HS-30 (22F to 32F) This broad-range training wax will work well from slightly above freezing and even down into the teens if the snow is somewhat transformed. Rode Racing Liquids come in Cold, Med and Warm. These waxes are durable and fast out of the gate. Simple to use and a sponge applicator is included for easily spreading the product. This sponge also stays saturated maximizing the use of the bottle. Non aerosol. Rode is one of the very few companies using an aluminum bottle for decreased plastic waste. For increased speed and durability use the Rode Wool Roto. If we were to recommend one liquid wax to have it would be RLM. Good in a variety of snow types and in the key temp range of the 20s This won about 70% of our fluoro free wax tests last year. We simply cannot say enough about this wax. Racing Liquid Warm -3C to 0C 26F to 32F RLW is a versatile warm solution especially when the humidity remains below 50%.
