The GS wax series from Vauhti is a synthetic compound that is fluoro free. GS Green: Cold conditions make for the best classic skiing, and GS Green is the kick wax for the job when temps are down. Green Base Klister Spray. Temperature range 5°F to 50F. Apply a thin layer. Use regular klister on top, adjusted to the conditions, or aerosol Quick Klister. Upside down spray applicator for controlled spray-on application. The Base klister is applied by holding the bottle upside down and move it slowly along the ski on both sides of the groove. Polar (-22/5F new snow) (-12/10F old) An old fave of the die-hard cold weather crowd. Applies much easier at room temp. Be sure to cork to a glassy, smooth surface. Apply long if tracks are soft or slippery. Red/Silver (32/38F new) (30/34F old) Very tacky for very wet and fresh snow min the 30s and 40s. May need to be covered if icing is a problem. Special Red (28/34F) A popular choice for many classic skiers. Good for those wet days with fresh snow that is not quite klister snow. One of the essential kick waxes. Violet (32F new) (27/30F old) For damp, sticky snow right at freezing. Prone to icing if snow is fresh. Cover with Rex Hydrex if icing is a problem. Violet Special (27/32F new) (21/28F old) For moist snow beginning to get sticky and damp. Cover with some blue extra if icing occurs.

Durable base wax! Base kick wax for transformed and new snow. Improved wear on kick wax. To be used as first layer for all hard waxes in new fallen snow, transformed fine-grained snow and old snow from +1°C to -20°C (30°F to -4°F). Rub on and iron in with a waxing iron (110°C/230°F). Cork smooth. Base wax is much easier to apply when it is cold. Store it in the fridge or in the snow before application.

Durable base binder for added durability. Base binders are essential for long outings or marathons. Apply to a clean kick zone by touching stick to a warm wax iron and then dabbing to the ski. Warm again on ski with iron and cork out to a smooth finish. Let cool before applying he wax of the day.

VP30 Pro Light Blue For new and new fallen fine-grained snow from -8°C to -16°C (18°F to 3°F). Old/partly transformed snow from -12°C to -20°C (10°F to -4°F). Light blue kick wax designed for dry and cold to extremely cold conditions. VP40 Pro Blue For new and new fallen fine-grained snow from -4°C to -10°C (25°F to 14°F). Old/partly transformed snow from -5°C to -14°C (23°F to 7°F). Blue kick wax designed for dry and cold winter conditions. A safe choice for normal midwinter inland conditions. Apply each layer thin – then smooth the surface with a synthetic cork (T12). VP45 PRO BLUE/VIOLET For new and new fallen fine-grained snow from -1°C to -5°C (30°F to 23°F). Old/partly transformed snow from -3°C to -8°C (27°F to 18°F). Purple-blue kick wax designed for normal winter conditions well below the freezing point. This improves the stick-slip properties of the wax and gives an excellent feeling. V55 PRO VIOLET For new and new fallen fine-grained snow from 1°C to -2°C (34°F to 28°F). Old/partly transformed snow from 0°C to -5°C (32°F to 23°F). Dark purple kick wax designed for moist, and new or new fallen snow around zero. Can also be used on older snow just below the freezing point without sacrificing glide. The wax contains a new additive designed to impart maximum lubricity. This improves the stick-slip properties of the wax and gives an excellent feeling. VP60 PRO VIOLET/RED For new and new fallen fine-grained snow from 2°C to -1°C (36°F to 30°F). Will also work on older, slightly transformed snow some degrees below the freezing point. If tricky conditions around zero VP65 is recommended. VP65 PRO BLACK/RED For new and new fallen fine-grained snow from 0°C to 2°C (32°F to 36°F). Old/partly transformed snow from 0°C to -4°C (32°F to 25°F). The black additive speaks for versatility and great anti-icing properties. VP65 works best on top of a couple of layers of a slightly harder wax. RCR50 Is a klister every racer should have in their box. It is a modified version of our Universal wide intended for high humidity, glazing tracks and artificial snow from 20F up to 38F. This wax is used consistently by several World Cup teams as well as the Start Finland domestic racing service.

Start synthetic kick wax is suitable for both old and new snow. This base wax improves the durability of the waxing. Add layers of different kick waxes on top according to the weather, temperature, and snow conditions.

One of the few truly universal waxes available. It is able to glide in cold temperatures and kick when the snow warms up. This wax outperforms other klisters in fresh snow conditions while simultaneously is able to kick in transformed ice crystals. In racing, this wax can be used as a mix with another klister, or under a cover wax. The versatility of this mix is in part due to its composition of klister raw materials, terva(tar), and aluminum. The aluminum additive prevents the formation of ice around freezing, when snow is in transition between solid and liquid state. The special ingredient is the terva which enables the wax to kick in warm conditions and remain fast on cold snow. The tar that is used in Uni Wide is created through the dry distillation of Finnish pine trees. What remains is a unqiue thermoplastic that transforms with changes in temperature. In a thin application, the tar hardens and creates a shell to protect from fresh ice crystals. In a thick application, the tar acts as a cusion layer to provide kick on rounded and transformed ice crystals. Application: Begin with a thin application of base klister or base klister spray. Then apply Universal Klister in a chevron pattern along the kick zone of your ski. Tech tip: apply a thin layer for fresh snow conditions, and a thicker layer for transformed snow conditions. Rub in an even layer with your thumb or synthetic cork. When racing, allow the skis to sit base down on the snow for a brief period of time to allow the hard shell to form, remove any excess snow sticking to the base and go ski.

Best for low humidities in new and untransformed snow. MULTIGRADE BLUE (20 to 28F) Rode Multigrade Blue hard wax (grip wax) for 20F to 28F. Best in new and untransformed snow. AWESOME wax for SPEED in the teens! BLUE (21F to 28F) Rode Blue hard wax (kick wax) for snow temps 28F to 21F. Very reliable grip in new and untransformed snow within its temperature range. SUPER BLUE (27F to 30F) Rode Super Blue hard wax (grip wax) for snow temps 27F to 30F. Excellent in new and untransformed snow. If you don't have this one, GET IT! MUST HAVE! SUPER EXTRA BLUE (23F to 30F) Rode Super Extra Blue hard wax (grip wax) for fresh and untransformed snow. Snow temps 23 to 30 F. Use when humidity is above 40% as a complement to Super Blue which is used for lower humidity. MULTIGRADE VIOLET (29F to 32F) Rode Multigrade Violet hard wax (grip wax) for 29 to 32 F. Can be used much colder in higher humidity and moisture content. If you have one wax in your pocket, pray it's this one! MULTIGRADE (21F to 42F) This one is killer in coarse snow and when the tracks are falling apart. If you're building a klister collection, this better be in there! SPECIAL BLUE (10F to 25F) This one isn't as tough as Chola, but other waxes bond to it more easily so you can also cover it with hard wax in cold, abrasive new snow. BLUE (23F to 32F) When the track is thawed and refrozen. This is for the blazing fast hold-on-to-your-hats type of days! Don't be afraid of klister! Imagine rollerski kick with melt-your face speed! That is what spring skiing is all about. VIOLET SPECIAL (23F to 30F) This is the ticket as a binder for cold snow under blue hardwax! VIOLET (27F to 32F) This is the ticket as a binder for cold snow under blue hardwax! RED (28F to 39F) This needs to be in your box, as you'll want to try mixing it with other waxes to increase speed and prevent icing. SPECIAL RED (32F to 37F) Great for wet snow or mixing to prevent icing and speed up other waxes. SILVER (31F to 34F) Mix this stuff in where the snow is dirty to maintain speed and prevent icing.
