Complete new strap body with reduced stitching areas and soft buckle prevents any hard spots. Improved flexibility within each size. Closer attachment to handle gives better pendulum. Strap with Swix Just Click system. Just click your strap into the handle and you are ready to go. Push the button on the top of the handle to release the strap. Blue (14/28F new) (5/23F old) Excellent in the teens and low twenties, especially with low humidity. If tracks are slippery, use V40 Blue Extra. Blue Extra (19/30F new) (12/27F old) One of the true classics. Nearly universal performance in sub-freezing temps. Apply thinner for temps below 20F. A must-have for any classic skier. Green (5/18F new) (0/12F old) Swix's standard cold kicker. Works reliably down below zero. Easily covered if temps warm up beyond the green temp range. Polar (-22/5F new snow) (-12/10F old) An old fave of the die-hard cold weather crowd. Applies much easier at room temp. Be sure to cork to a glassy, smooth surface. Apply long if tracks are soft or slippery. Red/Silver (32/38F new) (30/34F old) Very tacky for very wet and fresh snow min the 30s and 40s. May need to be covered if icing is a problem. Special Red (28/34F) A popular choice for many classic skiers. Good for those wet days with fresh snow that is not quite klister snow. One of the essential kick waxes. Violet (32F new) (27/30F old) For damp, sticky snow right at freezing. Prone to icing if snow is fresh. Cover with Rex Hydrex if icing is a problem. Violet Special (27/32F new) (21/28F old) For moist snow beginning to get sticky and damp. Cover with some blue extra if icing occurs.

PS5 TURQUOISE, -.4°F/14°F The PS5 is the hardest wax in the line, and is a great choice in cold conditions, due to its great durability and dry friction properties. It's a great choice both for alpine and cross country. Despite being a wax for cold conditions, the melting point makes it easier to apply than many competitors in this area, without sacrificing the great glide properties. For fresh, old or manmade snow. The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating ski. The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Scraping after appr. one minute. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax. PS5 can be used as a race wax alone or as a base for top coats. Recommended iron temp: 150°C (311°F) Replaces the CH5X. PS6 BLUE, 10ºF/21°F PS6 is very versatile. Its area of use stretches from base for powder to racing wax and base prep wax for cold skis. PS6 has a good durability and offers great performance on natural and artificial snow. The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating or alpine ski.
