Fischer Speedmax 9 Skate Rl Boa Boot
Details
New Moon Staff:
First of all, I have spent a bit of time in the previous model, which is a great boot.
The Speedmax 9 is an all-new design; there are not many similarities, except for a similar colorway, but that’s kinda where it stops.
Here’s my take… I found the external dual Boa to be an amazing upgrade, just too easy. The boot opens wide for entry, then closes up nice and snug. It’s very easy and quick to get on/off. It’s a race fit & feel, very stiff sole, and a carbon tub around the heel. The new molded carbon cuff is interesting, somewhat minimal, but I like that. The size runs true, but I did notice it did have just a tad more wiggle room (for me) when compared to the previous model.
No doubt that it’s worthy of top-level skate boot status.
From the Manufacturer:
The Speedmax success story dials it up to the next level. The brand new Speedmax 9 Skate RL BOA impresses with an innovative two-zone BOA® system, which enables individual adjustments in the heel and forefoot area. With a lower foot position combined with a new chassis for improved torsional control, the boot allows you to feel the ski like never before. The result is less stress on the feet, more power transfer, and higher speeds on snow.
