Profile 2-5
Skis: Fischer Speedmax 80 Skate. A mid-price but high-value ski. 610 mold and new base mirror the top end skis at 40% less cost. We are confident in the performance of these skis for ambitious competitors as well as being a lovely ski to just enjoy the trails.
Boots: Fischer Speedmax 7 Skate. Taking cues from the World Cup, the new Carbonlite Skate boot has eliminated weight and increased performance and comfort over the previous generation. The CARBONFUSED® cuff and chassis work with an improved inner boot and lacing system for optimal energy transfer and control.
Poles: One Way Storm 2. Great, versatile pole! Uses the Oneway exchange baskets and ferrules system. Great mid-high tier Nordic pole. The bright color shows up well on the road, which is why it's our go-to pole for rollerskiing.
Have you suddenly developed an interest in skiing? Are you a first-year junior skier? Rex Spark is an excellent price-to-performance ratio pole with a 50% carbon shaft, carbon cork grip, and Pro Fit strap. It is available in 135 - 175 cm lengths in 5 cm increments.

You've begun to grasp technique and balance, but you're not yet sure-footed at medium speed. You can turn with control at slow speeds.
Profile 3. Intermediate
Your technique, balance and turning are pretty good at medium speeds. You still fall occasionally, mainly at high speeds.
Profile 4. Advanced
You seldom fall and have good technique, balance and turning skills.
Profile 5. Expert
Excellent balance and turning skills at all speeds.
