Great glide made easy! A liquid spray-on training wax that can be used alone or as under layer for racing waxes. Very Durable.
CH6
An undisputed favorite in cold conditions
- Hard and durable, yet easy to apply
- A favorite both in alpine and XC
- No iron needed
Temperature range: -4°C to -12°C (25°F to 10°F). A liquid spray-on training wax that can be used alone or as an underlayer for racing waxes. Especially developed for cold conditions, down to -12°C (10°F). Below this point liquids are normally outperformed by traditional paraffin waxes. CH06XL is a versatile wax that works in all snow conditions, but is at its best when the humidity is high.
CH7
- A great wax for typical winter conditions
- No iron needed
Temperature range: -2°C to -7°C (28°F to 19°F). A liquid spray-on training wax that can be used alone or as an underlayer for racing waxes. CH07XL performs at its best when typical winter conditions below the freezing point. Can handle various snow conditions and is not humidity sensitive. A safe choice that rarely under performs within its core area of use.
CH8
- Covering both sides of the freezing point
- No iron needed
- Fluor free
Temperature range: -4°C to +4°C (25°F to 39°F). A liquid spray-on training wax that can be used alone or as an underlayer for racing waxes. CH08XL is an extremely versatile wax on both sides of the freezing point with exceptional feedback from racing. It performs in older snow below freezing, new falling snow above freezing, and everything in between. Basically a must-have in conditions you will meet often.
CH10:
- A versatile wax for warm conditions
- Ideal for both training and racing
- No iron needed
Temperature range: +2°C to +10°C (36°F to 50°F). A liquid spray-on training wax that can be used alone or as an underlayer for racing waxes. For very wet conditions when the snow has turned transformed. Ideal for spring skiing when the dirt content typically is high, as CH10XL collects less pollution from the snow than comparable paraffin waxes. A great choice in warm weather that never under performs.

The PS series are great gliders for training and competition with good glide properties.
PS5 TURQUOISE, -.4°F/14°F
The PS5 is the hardest wax in the line, and is a great choice in cold conditions, due to its great durability and dry friction properties. It's a great choice both for alpine and cross country. Despite being a wax for cold conditions, the melting point makes it easier to apply than many competitors in this area, without sacrificing the great glide properties. For fresh, old or manmade snow. The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating ski. The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Scraping after appr. one minute. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax. PS5 can be used as a race wax alone or as a base for top coats. Recommended iron temp: 150°C (311°F) Replaces the CH5X.
PS6 BLUE, 10ºF/21°F
PS6 is very versatile. Its area of use stretches from base for powder to racing wax and base prep wax for cold skis. PS6 has a good durability and offers great performance on natural and artificial snow. The speed of the iron should be approx. 8-10 sec. on a skating or alpine ski. The wax can be re-heated after cooling to room temperature (10 min) for better durability. Important to have a good iron to get an efficient melting of the wax. Excellent performance of GF fluorinated grip waxes comes from a revolutionary ingredient that reacts to
temperature precisely. Thanks to this innovation, the risk of the grip wax icing in cold temperatures is
reduced considerably and the grip properties are exceptional. GF grip waxes have wide operation range,
which makes them a good choice also for recreational skiers.
GF Green: -4F to 24F. Built for the coldest of days, GF Green is suitable for all snow types, and excels as the temperature drops. To maximize the durability and grip conditions of GF Green, you can use GF Carrot as a base wax.
GF Carrot: Old Snow 10F to 28F. The flagship or the GF line of kick waxes, GF Carrot is a must have for every wax box. This all-purpose wax sticks extremely well to skis at sub-zero temperatures. GF Carrot works best on old or coarse snow, starting at temperatures around 30 F (-2 C), and extends down to 10 F (-12 C) on hard-packed tracks. GF Carrot can be used alone or as a base wax for other K-Line products. This wax is also extremely wear-resistant.
GF Blue: 14F to 27F. GF Blue is the perfect complement to the GF Carrot. If the snow is too fine for GF Carrot, time to put your GF Blue to work. Best results are found on fine or coarse, old snow.
GF Violet: 19F to 30F. A wax developed for new, fine snow in mild winter conditions, GF Violet is built for difficult new snow conditions. The grip properties of GF Violet set in at just below freezing with exceptional glide properties. GF Violet has a range extending as low as 23 F (-5 C) on new snow and 14 F (-10 C) on old snow without losing its superb glide properties.
GF Pink: 23F to 32F. A new addition to the Vauhti line of kick wax, GF Pink is made specifically for new snow conditions. Best in dry or variable new snow, GF Pink is softer than other, similar grip waxes, giving it better grip properties on a soft track.

The story of Nordic skiing in the Midwest—its origins and history, its star athletes and races, and its place in the region’s social fabric and the nation’s winter recreation
Winter’s Children traces Nordic skiing in the Midwest from its introduction in the late 1800s to its uncertain future in today’s changing climate. Generously illustrated, this is an engaging look at the earliest ski teams and touring clubs; the evolution of cross-country skis, gear, and fashion; and the ambitious effort to maintain a vast trail network across Minnesota’s state park system.
"Ryan Rodgers captures the essence of cross-country skiing in the Midwest, from its earliest days of making wooden skis to the snowmaking loops and large races of today. Learning the rich history of the sport I love so much brings an even greater appreciation to skiing and all the amazing individuals who have collectively changed the sport over the years. The detail and character of the photos woven into Rodgers's storytelling bring this amazing history to life."
